Acceptable Use Policy

ScanSim is a document simulation and testing tool. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules that apply when you use the Service.

Permitted Legitimate Uses

ScanSim may be used for legitimate purposes including:

  • document preview
  • print and scan workflow testing
  • OCR testing
  • archival simulation
  • document design quality assurance
  • research
  • software testing
  • legitimate internal document-processing workflows

Core Prohibition

You may not use ScanSim to create, alter, or process documents for the purpose of fraud, forgery, impersonation, or misrepresentation.

You may not use the Service to deceive a third party regarding the authenticity, origin, history, or validity of a document.

Prohibited Fraudulent or Deceptive Use

You may not use ScanSim for the fraudulent or deceptive creation or alteration of:

  • identity documents
  • passports
  • driver's licences
  • financial records
  • bank statements
  • invoices (when used for fraudulent or deceptive purposes)
  • academic certificates or transcripts
  • medical records
  • government records
  • signatures
  • legal or court evidence

Contracts, legal documents, business records, financial documents, and invoices may have legitimate preview, OCR, testing, archival, and QA use cases. The prohibited factor is fraudulent, forged, deceptive, misleading, impersonating, or otherwise illegal use.

Additional Prohibited Conduct

You also may not:

  • engage in impersonation of any person or entity
  • commit fraud or engage in any unlawful activity
  • violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights
  • use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Enforcement

We may restrict or discontinue access, remove unused credits where required by law, and preserve relevant records where necessary to investigate reported misuse. ScanSim does not routinely inspect user documents for policy compliance.

Violations of this policy may be reported to wei-nz@qq.com. Include only the minimum information needed to explain the concern; do not email sensitive documents unless requested.
